Our two busiest months

September and October were our two busiest months for permits in almost three years of data.

Across buildings using TAP, c. 1,800 approved permits started in October, naming c. 6,100 contractor workers. That’s up c. 14% on permits and c. 33% on workers compared with October 2025. Against October 2024, permits are up c. 55%.

What stands out is how we got there. May is still our peak for workers named, at c. 7,100, helped by 13 permits naming 50 or more people. October had just one.

So this wasn’t a month defined by a few very large jobs. It was a high volume of everyday work, spread across around 190 properties.

And with two months still to go, 2026 has already passed the whole of 2025, with c. 15,600 approved permits so far against c. 14,900.

More work means more people to account for. With TAP, attendance is part of the permit, so you can see who is on site and why.
